• The duties of employers and employees with respect to fire safety in the workplace
• The role and function of fire wardens in their workplace on a day-to-day basis and during an emergency
• The  causes of fire in the workplace, and the components of the fire triangle
• The hazards during or after a fire,  products of combustion and characteristics of fire and smoke spread
• Methods used to identify and control fire hazards and components of means of escape
• Methods of fire detection and raising the alarm and how fires are extinguished
• Types of portable and fixed fire-fighting equipment and how to use them safely
• The content of a fire safety briefing, fire preventive measures and firefighting equipment inspection

Who should attend:

The Level 2 Award in Fire Marshal is a qualification aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This training includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.

Learners gaining this qualification will know that safety training is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of fire in any premises.

Course Description:

Fire Marshal Training Course is ideal for anyone in a managerial, supervisory or team leading role. Subjects covered fire marshal course include understanding the requirements for fire detection, prevention and response in an emergency situation in the workplace, the benefits of using a fire-risks management system, the fire risk assessment, and understanding the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards particularly in relation to fire.

Certification

After attending the course and successfully completing one multiple-choice examination, candidates receive a Fire Marshal card and certificate that can be used to provide as an evidence for compliance and audit.
